You will love this shoulder rest! It has helped cure my hunching over when i play, which has helped my back a lot. I often practice for extended periods of time, and i would recommend this to anyone who is serious about playing. The construction is made to last, and if you feel sticker shock, i would just tell you that this has made me never want to go back. Once you get it shaped for you, you will realize that you no longer hold the instrument with your chin as much. It hooks over your shoulder a bit, and with a little very light pressure on your chin, it stays with no effort. Once you are holing it in your hand, you can pick your head up, and you have a much easier time sight reading because it stays nicely and doesn't feel like it's gotta point at the ground. If practicing makes you stiff, get this!
