I switched to the Passione after playing a few years on a Eudoxa gut D. As much as I love gut strings, sometimes playing on a steel string is much easier. The Passione gives a warm sound that complements my gut G and C, and comes with the playability that one expects from steel. If you find yourself struggling to play in the upper registers on a gut, this is a great alternative. (Note, I have not tried this string with steel G and C.)
